Why this site sets no tracking cookies, and how traffic is measured.

1. This site sets no tracking cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognize you on later visits.
This site sets none for audience measurement, advertising or profiling purposes. You therefore have nothing to accept or refuse, which is why no cookie banner appears when you arrive.
You can check for yourself: open your browser's developer tools (F12 key), "Application" or "Storage" tab, "Cookies" section. No measurement cookie appears there.
2. Why there is no banner
The ePrivacy Directive requires your consent before information is read from or written to your device. Since this site writes nothing, this obligation does not apply.
Audience measurement is carried out without cookies and benefits from the consent exemption provided by the CNIL (the French data protection authority) for statistics strictly limited to the publisher's own use. The exemption removes the need for consent, not the duty to inform: that is the purpose of this page.
3. The audience measurement used
I use Burst Statistics, a statistics solution installed directly on this site's server. No data is sent to Google or to any other analytics provider.
It works in "cookie-free" mode: each visit is associated with an anonymous daily fingerprint, recalculated every day. No cookie is set, and no technical fingerprint of your browser or device is collected. You are therefore not recognized from one day to the next, or from one session to the next.
If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" signal, your visit is not counted at all.
4. The four CNIL exemption criteria

5. No tracking from one site to another
This site includes no advertising cookie, no social network pixel, no tracking share button and no ad-targeting network. You are not tracked between sites, or between visits.
If you book an appointment, the calendar opens on the Cal.com site, in a new tab. That service may set its own cookies, governed by its privacy policy. This site sets none.
6. Technical login cookie
A technical cookie is used by WordPress when logging in to the site's administration area. It concerns only the site publisher and is never set during an ordinary visit. It is essential for authentication to work and is not used for any analysis.
7. Your browser settings
No setting is needed for this site, since it sets nothing. You can nonetheless manage cookies for all your sites from your browser:

- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
